"Hello! Thank you for taking time to read our story. We are so passionate about this small business journey! Over the years our journey has made a lot of twists and turns; we wouldn’t have it any other way. Even if you never get to meet us in person you will feel our passion through the quality of the content we create and the local event that we host.

Our mission is split between two critical factors: 1. creating quality DIY content that you can relate to and 2. hosting an event that you can’t wait for year after year.

We love sharing this ride with you! You have been so patient with us as we work, raise our family, create things for you and switch gears from time to time. We are thankful for your support and look forward to sharing new projects and small shops with you!"

THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS!

About the Makers

The Minted Vintage makers, John and Megan have been married for over 15 years and have two fun, active boys. Their faith, family and friends are what they hold close to their hearts, and they truly believe that this business adventure is an answer to many prayers.

So, how did this all begin? After building a home in 2014, they decided to start a few DIY projects to make their new build feel more like "home". That's when they discovered their passion for building and found their "thing" as a couple. They have always loved working together and taking on new challenges, but it wasn't until the summer of 2016 that they considered turning their love for DIY into something more…

Megan resigned from a federal career shortly after starting the business, fulfilling her lifelong dream to stay home with their two children. When both kiddos were in school, she spent her days working on orders, bookkeeping, managing social media, product photography, creating content, writing blog posts, and all the other entrepreneurial duties required for running their small business. She also managed lifestyle accounts on social media, documenting DIY and home improvement projects.

In 2019, Megan and John took another leap of faith and hosted their first ever vendor market, Minted Vintage Market. It was a truly humbling experience to see their community come together and support small business in such a big way. They have grown from just over 40 vendors their first year to now 100 vendors each event. Because of the impact this event can make on local business, they feel a nudge to shift their focus from making their own products to making the market the best it can be!
