Getting to the event
The Minted Vintage Market will be held at the Wood County 4-H Campground on Butcher Bend Road in Mineral Wells, WV. The barn is located just across the road from the WV Interstate Fairgrounds. Douglas Jones is an elementary principal, educator and freelance artist. He studied art at Glenville State College and went on to receive masters degrees from West Virginia University and Marshall University. Jones works in multiple media; including watercolor, acrylic, charcoal, colored pencil and mixed media. He has taught private art lessons at the middle and high school levels. Currently he teaches art to his students at Vienna Elementary School. Jones is a commissioned artist, covering subject matter from portraiture to pets and athletic venues to logo design.
Jones will be teaching you how to draw a fall scene using colored pencils and mixed media. Two FREE classes will be offered on Saturday October 5th:
Elementary to middle school ages (7-12)
Late teens to adults
